<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, the 72nd Republic Day was celebrated across the state with enthusiasm. AIR correspondent reports that Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi unfurled the Tri-colour at Khanapara in Guwahati. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and a host of dignitaries were present on this occasion.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Addressing the gathering, Governor Prof Mukhi said that the Assam government is confident of overcoming all future challenges to the state to a newer height of development. He said that the state government took a series of welfare measures in various sectors. The Chief Minister presented the Republic Day Journalism award to Atin Das. Various events including bike rally, plantation drives have been organized to mark the day across the state.</span><br />
