The Government has refuted reports that Indians were stranded in Yemen for want of funds or travel documents. Responding to a report that appeared in a section of the press, the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday said so far only a few Indian nationals had availed of the Indian Embassy's facilities for assisting them in their safe exit out of Yemen. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vishnu Prakash told reporters in New Delhi that the said report did not portray a correct picture. He sought to stress that Indian Embassy in Sana’a was all geared up to assist all Indians in need, with air tickets and or special travel documents. He also said Commercial flights were operating regularly between Sana’a and Dubai, and arrangements have been made by Indian Embassy to fly out all needy Indian nationals who approach the Mission.
