The Parliamentary Standing Committee report on Civil Nuclear Liability has been tabled in both the Houses. The Standing Committee headed by T. Subbarami Reddy finalized the recommendations after taking on board the concerns of the Opposition on the Nuclear Liability Bill. The Standing Committee held several rounds of discussion with the members of the Opposition on their concerns and adopted the changes after getting the BJP's nod. The Left parties have given a dissenting note. The BJP on Tuesday indicated that it will support the Bill if its suggestions are incorporated in the Bill . The Chairman of the Standing Committee Mr. Subbarami Reddy will brief the press later this afternoon about the recommendations of the Standing Committee.
