In Assam, amid tight security arrangements repolling is on in ten polling booths of six Assembly constituencies in Barak valley area of the state. Repolling will be up to 3 pm. Maximum number of five polling booths is in Silchar Assembly constituency. One each polling station is in Karimganj South, Borkhola, Algapur, Udharbond and Dholai. Polling was held in these booths during the first phase of elections on April 4. Repolling was necessitated due to malpractices and non-functioning of EVMs.
