The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice, this morning, first for 15 minutes
and then till noon following uproar by AIADMK members who strongly protested against some irregularities posted in the website of the Sri Lankan government.

As soon as the House met for the day, the agitating members trooped into the well, taking strong exception to the content of the website. Amid noisy scenes, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari adjourned the House till 11.17 hours.

When the House reassembled after its first adjournment, AIADMK members again trooped into the well, raising the same issue.

Before adjourning the House till noon, Mr Ansari observed that ten members are holding the House to ransom and this is unbecoming of them.
