Renowned broadcaster Ram Dhani Ram passes away in Kanpur

Renowned broadcaster Ram Dhani Ram passed away at the age of 72 in Kanpur today. He retired from All India Radio in 2005 as Deputy Director General of Central East Region. A native of Ghazipur of UP, Ram Dhaniram had joined AIR as Farm Radio officer and later donned many positions in the organisation. He worked as station director of AIR Lucknow since 1991 to 1998. Later he became DDG and retired from that position in 2005.<br/><br/> Expert in agriculture, he prepared and broadcast several popular programs for the benefit of farmers. A rich tribute was paid to the departed soul today at AIR Lucknow where people who worked with him, fondly remembered his deeds and expertise in broadcasting. Bedridden for last two years, he breathed his last today. He has left behind sons, daughters and wife.
