Renovated Nepal Bhasha Parishad Building inaugurated

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Rakesh Sood today inaugurated the recently renovated Nepal Bhasha Parishad Building at Naradevi in Kathmandu which was renovated with the Indian assistance of 5.24 million Nepali rupees under the Small Development Projects Programme. Nepal Bhasha Parishad established in 1951 with the objective of promoting literature in Nepal Bhasha, was housed in a dilapidated 150 year old building. <br/> AIR Correspondent reports that the restoration of the old Nepal Bhasha Parishad building will not only help preserve this important cultural monument of Nepal, but will also provide space for establishing a museum and educational centre related to the renowned poet of Nepal, Kavi Kesari Chittadhar Hridaya and his works. <br/>
