Chairman of the Executive Council of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Dr Karan Singh today inaugurated the renovated Nehru Planetarium in New Delhi. The renovation of the Planetarium was undertaken with a view to throw open it to the public in time for the Commonwealth Games. The inaugural programme titled, Chandra–A Stellar Life, was put together as a tribute to the Nobel Laureate Subramanyan Chandrasekhar and makes this programme available to all viewers just as the Chandrasekhar centenary celebrations begin worldwide. Jawahar Sircar, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, was present on the occasion.
