Government will disseminate the relief package for the drought hit districts of Bihar and Jharkhand soon. Launching a web portal for electronic trading of agriculture products in New Delhi today the Union Food Processing Minister Subodh Kant Sahai said that his ministry is assessing the drought damage to crops and will recommend the legitimate relief package soon. He said, lack of awareness about the crop storage and marketing among farmers is the principle reason behind the dismal state of our agriculture industry. Mr. Sahai said that the portal will provide commercial information about crop prices, service providers, market centers and support schemes of the center and state governments to the farmers.
