Relief operations on in earthquake hit Manipur

In Manipur, relief operations are going on in earthquake affected areas. Two teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are working on in relief operations in Tamenglong and Imphal which had been affected most by the tremor of Monday last. State Disaster Response Force(SDRF), Manipur Police, paramilitary forces and voluntary organizations are also helping in the relief operations.<br/><br/>One combined team of NDRF and SDRF has moved towards Kabui Kullen Village from Noney in Tamenglong District this morning. The epicenter of the jolt of Monday last was located at the village, about 17 Kilometres away to the north from Noney. Meanwhile, the seven-member central medical team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi has met State Chief Secretary .<br/><br/>The medical team comprising four specialist doctors, two nurses and one technician went to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences(RIMS) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences(JNIMS) Hospitals to assist treatment of those injured in the tremor. The team also inspected the Trauma Centre of JNIMS Hospital on its available facilities to cope up such eventualities.
