Relationship between India and UAE are multi- dimensional: MK Lokesh

The Ambassador of India to United Arab Emirates (UAE) MK Lokesh has said that the relationship between India and UAE are multi- dimensional based on strong fundamentals, enabling the partnership to assume strategic levels.He was speaking to AIR special correspondent Dhirendra Ojha on the upcoming visit of Indian President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil’s to UAE, which is schedule to take place from 21st November. The Indian Ambassador described the visit yet another historic chapter in India-UAE relations, which will provide further momentum to time tested relations and enable both countries to consolidate and expand the diverse links that nurture or relationship.Mr. Lokesh said that both countries share common perspective on major International issues and they have emerged as largest trading partners for each other. The presence of the large Indian community, which is peacefully and productively engaged in the UAE, has been a positive element of the close ties between both countries.The Ambassador said that the visit comes at a time when both the countries are strengthening their role in regional and global issues especially in economic, energy security and environment sectors. India and UAE have substantive role to play in the global economic recovery and this partnership is strong stabilizing factor for the region and its economy.
