Regular security audit should be held of forces like CISF: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said security audit should be a regular feature for the forces like Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to improve their efficiency. He said efforts are underway to expand the CISF to reach two lakh personnel from the present one lakh 36 thousand personnel. <br/><br/>He was addressing the passing out parade of the commandants and sub-inspectors who completed probation at the National Industrial Security Academy in Hyderabad this morning. <br/><br/>Expressing satisfaction over the advancement included in the course curriculum, the Home Minister asked the CISF to improve its core competence in dealing with the cyber crimes especially when the digital advancement is expanding across the globe. Mr Rajnath Singh also stressed the need to increase the women personnel in the security forces.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Director General of CISF Surender Singh asked the passing out officers to be ever ready to combat all types of challenges. Stating that CISF role is expanding to the changing times, he exuded confidence that the training imparted at the academy will help them to stand in good stead while delivering their duties. He also said efforts are on to make the academy a world class training provider. <br/><br/>A total 525 commandants– both commandants and sub-inspectors — have passed out after completing rigorous training at the National Industrial Security Academy.
