The minister of state for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai has informed that regular advisories are issued to all the state governments to increase the representation of women in police. <br />''<br />''In his reply in Lok Sabha today, the minister said that the advisory suggests increasing women police personnel from the present 10.3 percent to 33 percent of the total strength. It is suggested to create additional posts of women constables, sub-inspectors by converting the vacant posts. <br />''<br />''The minister informed the House that it is proposed that each police station should have at least three women sub-inspectors and 10 women police constables so that a women's help desk is operated round the clock.<br />
