Registration for Amarnath Yatra to commence on March 1

Registration of pilgrims for this year's Shri Amarnathji Yatra will commence on 1st March for both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes.<br/><br/>The Registration can be done through 433 designated branches of Punjab National Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank and YES Bank located in various States of the country.<br/><br/>This year's Yatra will start simultaneously on both the routes, from 29th June and culminate on Raksha Bandhan, the 7th of August.<br/><br/>In a statement issued in Jammu today, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, P.K. Tripathi, informed that the step-by-step procedure which Yatris need to follow to register for the Yatra has been put on the Board's website : www.shriamarnathjishrine.com .<br/><br/>The website also contains the application form and state-wise list of Bank Branches which Yatris can visit for registering themselves for the pilgrimage.<br/><br/>The CEO said Yatris will have to furnish a Compulsory Health Certificate while seeking registration for the Yatra. Only those Health Certificates which have been issued after 10th February will be considered valid.<br/><br/>Persons under the age of 13 or above 75 years and women who are more than six weeks pregnant will not be registered for the Yatra.
