Registration, Diagnostics, Treatment fees at National Institutes, Composite Regional Centres to be waived off for Divyangjan

<span style="color: #222222;">The government has said that Registration, Diagnostics and Treatment fees at National Institutes and Composite Regional Centres will be waived off for Divyangjan from the 1st of January next year. The fee will be waived for those who have Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities (UDID) cards and those who have disability certificates and are enrolled on the UDID portal.<br />''<br />''In addition, the full course fee will also be waived off in various courses at such institutes and centres. This will be effective for 2022-23 batch students onwards, including those who are doing two years or more duration courses and are in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. Further, each National Institutes and Composite Regional Centres have been instructed to have a dedicated counter to help Persons with Disabilites in filing UDID applications and to provide treatment facilities to all persons on Saturday and Sunday also.<br />''<br />''Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment  Dr. Virendra Kumar while appreciating this move said that such an initiative will pave the way for other Government Organizations to link the UDID card with the benefits to persons with disabilities.</span>
