A Regional Workshop on ‘Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna’ was organized on Tuesday in Ranchi in which representatives of insurance and health services sector from Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh took part. As per this scheme, 75% of cost is provided by the Central Government and remaining 25% is born by the state government. The annual health policy of 30 thousand rupees is done for those living below poverty lines. Speaking exclusively to AIR Ranchi correspondent, the Director General of Employment Generation and Training Anil Swaroop told that since Jharkhand is performing well in this scheme. In the Workshop, various speakers stressed on the need of timely issuance of ‘smart card’ of this policy to the target population as well as settling insurance claim within the mandated 21 days.
