Sirkali, Chidambaram, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai and Thanjavur have witnessed more than ten to 24 cms of rain in 24 hours. Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram recorded less than ten cms of rainfall. </span><br />
