<span style="color: #222222;">A two-day Regional Conference on the theme: "Replication of Good Governance Practices in Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh" began in Jammu today.<br />'' <br />'' The Conference is organised by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India in collaboration with the Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on November was inaugurated by Minister of State for PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh along with Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, G. C. Murmu.  <br />'' <br />'' Addressing the officers, MoS,  PMO, Dr. Jatinder Singh said that over the years role of civil services has immensely changed.<br />'' <br />'' He laid emphasis on maximum governance minimum government and transparency.  The Union Minister said that there is need for progressively increasing citizens participation in governance.<br />'' <br />'' In his address Lt. Governor, Jammu and Kashmir UT, G.C. Murmu said that being agents of the public civil servants must work for public welfare.  <br />'' <br />'' The main objective of the Conference is to bring national and state-level organizations on a common platform and to share experiences in Digital Governance, Citizen-Centric Governance and Capacity Building and Personnel Administration etc. Delegates from 19 states and 4 Union Territories are participating in the Conference.<br />'' <br />'' The Department has organized 31 Regional Conferences till date. This Conference is an effort to create a common platform to share experiences in the formulation and implementation of best practices in citizen-centric governance, improved public service delivery through e-Governance, transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly effective administration.</span>
