IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said, the mantra of the Narendra Modi government is to perform, reform and transform and to employ technology to empower the people. Mr Prasad said this after laying the foundation stone of a Software Technology Park of India-Itanagar Centre at Itanagar last evening. He also inaugurated the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Extension Centre, Tezu on the occasion. <br/><br/>The Minister said, there are 2 lakh 70,000 Common Service Centres (CSCs) in India, providing various e-services and facilities to the people. He said, Arunachal has a very little number of CSCs and asked the state government to take initiatives to open such centres at all the 1,735-gram panchayats in the state. <br/><br/>The Union Minister also announced that 9 district hospitals in Arunachal Pradesh will be converted to e-hospitals very soon.
