Red alert sounded in Delhi following yesterday's militant attacks in J&K

A red alert has been sounded in the national capital over intelligence inputs of a possible terror strike after multiple attacks by militants in Jammu and Kashmir. Security has been beefed up across Delhi with Police's Special Weapons And Tactics, SWAT and HIT teams were deployed at important installations like airports, railway stations, bus terminals, Metro stations and malls. Enhanced security was also witnessed at places like India Gate and Red Fort while PCR vans were deployed at strategic locations.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police and its intelligence wing kept tabs on any movements of suspected elements throughout the day. Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi reviewed the preparedness of the force at a meeting via videoconferencing with all the district DCPs last evening.
