Recovery of illegal arms to continue in Bengal: Mamata

The West Bengal Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee has said that, recovery of illegal arms will continue in the state maintaining political neutrality. Talking to newsmen in Kolkata today Miss Banerjee said that, police administration has been instructed not to see any political colour on the issue. Miss Banerjee appealed the people not to take law in their hands on recovery of illegal arms but to inform the police to take necessary steps in this regard. The Chief Minister refuted charges on post poll violence in the state and said that no major political clash has taken place so far. Our Kolkata correspondent reports that after announcement of Assembly Elections results in the state police is regularly recovering huge quantities of arms and ammunitions from different South Bengal districts. Police arrested over hundreds of CPIM supporters in connection with the seizer of illegal arms.
