The recovery count outnumbered fresh Covid cases in Karnataka for the 8th consecutive day yesterday. The highest number of 13,550 patients were discharged, post-recovery, which is far higher than the 5,778 new cases that were reported yesterday. This has taken the recovered count to 6,84,834. As on October 22, the state has 92,927 active carriers of the virus out of which 940 are in ICU. A total of 74 new Covid deaths took the toll to 10,770.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The total number of covid positive cases in the State stands at 7,88,551 out of which 6,84,835 have recovered from the disease.  Karnataka Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar has tweeted that the State conducted 1,07,354 tests across 155 labs in the State yesterday.  Among the tests 86,506 are RT-PCR tests. As per the State health bulletin Bengaluru city reported with the highest number of 2,807 covid cases followed by 308 in Mysuru, 280 in Bengaluru rural, 237 in Chickballapur and 218 in Ballari yesterday. The lowest number of 6 cases were reported from Bidar district.  The positivity rate of the State is 5.38 percent and the fatality rate is 1.28 percent.</span><br />
