Record yield of agricultural produce expected during Kharif season in Karnataka: State Agriculture Minister B.C. Patil

<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Agriculture Minister B.C. Patil has issued a press statement that record yield of agricultural produce is expected during the Kharif season in the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The weather has been favourable for the farmers helping them to reap a good produce in this season. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As against the target of sowing on 77 lakh hectares, sowing is already done over three lakh hectares due to good pre monsoon rains. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Against all odds created by the pandemic, the Agriculture Department has distributed six lakh quintals of seeds to farmers and has 1,74,653 quintals in stock.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The department has also distributed over 5.67 lakh metric tonnes of fertilisers in April and May and has a stock of 12,38,600 metric tonnes in the stock. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state is expected to produce 101.38 lakh tonnes of foodgrains and 10.85 lakh tonnes of oilseeds in this season. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The statement says that there is sufficient stock of fertilisers and seeds to meet the demand during the Kharif season.</span><br />''  <br />
