<span style="color: #222222;">Over five crore 83 lakh Income Tax Returns (ITRs) have been filed till 31st of July, the last day. The Revenue Department said that a record of over 72 lakh 42 thousand ITRs were filed on a single day on Sunday. The Department expressed gratitude to taxpayers and tax professionals for making compliances in time leading to a surge in filing of ITRs resulting in a new record.</span><br />
