The first meeting of the reconstituted Group of Ministers on Bhopal Gas disaster will be held on the 18th of this month. Earlier the Prime Minister had directed the GoM to hold its meeting immediately and report back to the cabinet within 10 days.<br/><br/>According to PMO, Dr. Singh has asked the GoM to take stock of the situation arising out of the recent court judgement on Bhopal Gas disaster. He has also asked the Group of Ministers to assess the options and remedies available to the government on the various issues involved and get back to the cabinet. <br/><br/>The GoM headed by the Home Minister Mr. P.Chidambaram was reconstituted after the verdict of a Court in Bhopal . AIR correspondent says that the verdict had come in for criticism with most of the political parties.
