The recommendations of the Rangarajan panel on draft food security bill remained at the centre of Discussions in the National Advisory Council (NAC) meeting in New Delhi Today. The Committee has suggested to exclude above poverty line category from the Legal entitlement of the proposed Act. It also observed that ten thousand crore rupee subsidy is required to provide food grain on subsidised price to 75 per cent of the population. AIR Correspondent reports, the NAC had recommended 35 Kilogram of food grains at subsidised prices for 75 percent of the population and 20 kilogram for remaining 25 per cent for Above poverty line population. Officials in the NAC, said amendments to the Right to information Act will came up for discussion besides suggestions of the tribal affairs ministry about amendments in the forest rights act
