<span style="color: #222222;">The government today said that the number of recognised Start-Ups has increased from 452 in 2016 to over 84 thousand in 2022.<br />''<br />'' Replying to supplementaries during Question Hour in Lok Sabha today, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal informed that currently, there are over a hundred Unicorn Start Ups in India.<br />''<br />''The government has taken various measures to enhance ease of doing business, and reducing compliance burden. He said that Start Ups are no longer concentrated in Tier I cities alone but have also come up in big numbers in Tier II and Tier III cities.<br />''<br />''He attributed this to various programmes implemented by the government under Start Up India initiative to recognise, develop and promote the Start Ups to be able to raise private investment.</span><br />
