The Rebel Akali Leader, Manpreet Singh Badal today launched his political party named 'People's Party of Punjab' which was hailed by supporters , at the Shaheed Bhagat' Singh's native village Khatkar Kalan. Supported by the families of the two great martyrs of the country, Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev, Manpreet announced to give first ticket of Abhey Sandhu, nephew of Saheed Bhagat Singh and the second to Bharat Bhusan Thapar, nephew of Sukhdev. However, he told them not to ask for votes but let real supporters who want to change the political scenario of Punjab come forward to vote. AIR Jalandhar Correspondent Rajesh Bali reports that while announcing the party name, Manpreet held the soil of Khatkar kalan in his hands and took oath to eliminate corruption, unemployment, poverty from the state and would also change the economicscenario for more prosperity, when comes to power.
