South African skipper Graeme Smith has said that his team is ready to take on the Indian challenge in the home test series. On the sidelines of the ongoing cricket series against Pakistan in Dubai he said the Proteans are currently focused on levelling the series against Pakistan and the team is bound to improve its performance in the matches to come. On the question whether having played against Pakistan will be a psychological advantage , he said that every game is important and the team would give a thought to its strategy against India after the end of the test series against Pakistan in the UAE. South Africa is currently playing a two test match and three ODI series against Pakistan in the UAE.India's tour of South Africa later this year was confirmed yesterday by the BCCI under which the Indian team will play two Test matches and three ODIs in the upcoming series. The dates and venues for the matches, however, are yet to be decided. The tour was confirmed only after CSA agreed that it would suspend its CEO, Haroon Lorgat, from dealing with matters related to India and the International Cricket Council or the ICC, pending an inquiry by the world body into allegations against him. The allegations relate to Lorgat's role in the statement issued by the former legal Head of ICC, David Becker who had alleged that ICC was being bullied by the BCCI. The international Cricket Council has refuted the allegations of Becker and is now exploring the possibility of a legal action. It is also considering an impartial probe by third party into the entire issue.
