Ready to discuss FDI retail issue in Lok Sabha under any rule:Govt.

With the DMK extending support to the UPA on the FDI issue, the government indicated that it is not averse to a discussion in Parliament on FDI in retail.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath reiterated that the government is not averse to discussion under any rules.

He said that the UPA allies have assured that they are firmly behind the Government on any discussion.

Emerging from the UPA Co-ordination Committee meeting on Tuesday, the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed confidence that the government has the required strength in Parliament in case of voting on the FDI issue.
