Ready to appear before CBI, says Kalmadi

The Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi on Tuesday said that he is ready to appear before the CBI which is probing the alleged irregularities in the CWG Games. Mr Kalmadi said in New Delhi that he has not yet received any communication from the investigating agency after he informed them that he is ready to appear after 3rd of this month. Earlier reports said that Mr Kalmadi will be questioned on Tuesday.The premier investigating agency in the country had recovered some crucial documents after raids at Kalmadi's residences and offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. Kalmadi's questioning follows the interrogation of his key aides Lalit Bhanot and Manoj Bhore. The CBI has so far filed three FIRs in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the CWG projects.
