In West Bengal, re-polling has begun in two polling booths in North Dinajpur and Coochbihar Districts. The Election Commission ordered re-polling in two booths in Karan Dighi Assembly seat in north Dinajpur and Natabari seats of Coochbihar district following technical snag in EVMs. The voting took place in these polling booths on 1st phase of Assembly elections in the state on last Monday. Meanwhile, campaigning for the 2nd phase has intensified in 50 seats of Murshidabad, Nadia and Birbhoom districts where the polling will take place on Saturday.Meanwhile, the Deputy Election Commissioner Mr. Vinod Zutshi has arrived in Kolkata to review election preparedness of the second and third phase of Assembly. The second phase of election will take place in 50 seats covering Murshidabad, Nadia, and Birbhoom districts on next Saturday. The Campaign for second phase of poll has reached a feverish pitch. Altogether 293 candidates are in the fray for this phase.
