Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue 20 rupee bank notes in the Mahatma Gandhi Series, with the inset letter S in both the number panels. In an official release RBI said, design of these banknotes is similar in all respects to the 20 rupees bank notes in the same series issued earlier. All the banknotes in the denomination of 20 rupees issued by the Reserve Bank in the past will continue to be legal tender.
