The Reserve Bank of India said, it will issue new coins of five rupees and two rupees to commemorate the ongoing Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. The Apex Bank in a statement said it will shortly put into circulation coins of five rupees and two rupees with the theme 'XIX Commonwealth Games, 2010-Delhi'. Both the five rupees and two rupees denomination coins will be of circular shape and have a diametre of 23 millimeters and 27 millimeters. The existing five rupees and two rupees coins will also continue in circulation.
