Reserve Bank of India, RBI will shortly issue ten and fifty rupee denomination banknotes incorporating the rupee symbol, with inset letter 'L', in the Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005. RBI said in a release that the design of these new notes will be similar in all respects to the ten and fifty rupee Banknotes in Mahatma Gandhi Series- 2005, issued earlier. All the Banknotes in these denominations issued by the Bank in the past will continue to be legal tender.
