Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today questioned the intentions and timings of the return of the award by litterateurs accusing them of playing politics. <br/><br/>Talking exclusively to AIR, Mr Prasad alleged that most of the awardees were the beneficiary of the previous Congress regime and they have been speaking against Prime Minister Narendra Modi ever since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.<br/><br/>Questioning the writers why they did not protest in a similar manner against emergency, 1984 Sikh riots and killings of Kashmiri pandits, the Minister said it is an attempt to create controversy by the Congress patronized authors.<br/><br/>Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad also raised objections to putting blames on Centre in Dadri lynching incident saying it was the result of the failure of state administration.<br/><br/>He said that some section of people are trying to gain political advantage in the ongoing Bihar polls by creating unfounded controversies.
