Ravi Kumar, Swami Japananda & Thungdemo Kikon selected for Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Awards for 2011

Mr. R Ravi Kumar, Swami Japananda and Mr. N Thungdemo Kikon have been selected for the Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Awards for the year 2011 for their contribution in the field of child protection and welfare service to children. Ravi Kumar is the President of Sri Gayatri Welfare and Cultural Youth Academy of Visakhapatnam, Japananda is the Chairman of Swami Vivekananda Integrated Rural Health Centre of Karnataka and Kikon is the founder secretary of Wondang-Ki-Charitable Foundation in Dimapur, Nagaland. The award carrying a cash prize of one lakh rupees each and a citation was announced by the Women and Child Development Ministry in New Delhi .AIR correspondent reports that the Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award is conferred on three individuals each year who make outstanding contribution in the field of child protection and child development for over ten years.
