In Jammu and Kashmir, with a view to provide adequate staff in staff deficient hospitals in the Health Department, particularly in remote and far flung areas, the State Finance Minister, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather on Tuesday accorded approval for creation of 2000 posts of medical and para-medical staff.<br/>Decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting which was also attended by State Health Minister, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma in Jammu on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rather said that the government is committed to provide better medical facilities to patients for which liberal financial support is being provided. He said creation of additional 2000 posts in Health Department is a step forward to mitigate the sufferings of the patients in staff deficient hospitals. He said that priority is being given to provide modern diagnostic equipment in hospitals and constructing spacious hospital buildings with focus on remote areas of the state.<br/>
