The rate of public grievance disposal has increased substantially over last three years of NDA rule. Over five lakh 49 thousand grievances related to various Central government departments were received this year out of which 99.53 percent have been disposed off. <br/><br/>Briefing reporters on the completion of three years of NDA rule, Minister of State for Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the number of public grievances has gone up almost 4.5 times during the NDA rule as compared to previous regime due to timely and fast disposal. <br/><br/>He said, in 2015 over eight lakh 79 thousand complaints were received and disposal rate was over 87 percent while in 2016 around 12 lakh grievances were sent by the people out of which over 99 percent were addressed. <br/><br/>Dr Singh said, the average disposal time has also come down from 253 days to 24 days. <br/><br/>The Minister said, he is personally monitoring the public grievances redressal work and today itself he made call to two persons in Telangana and Punjab to know whether their problems have been resolved or not.
