<span style="color: #222222;">On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, today, the Run for Unity was jointly organised in many districts of Meghalaya. Before the run, the Pledge of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was taken by the participants. As part of celebrations, various programmes are being organised across the state, recalling Sardar Patel's contribution to the unification of India. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Several prominent persons, including sports personalities, also took part in the Unity Run. The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) also commemorated the 144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. On the occasion, the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was administered to government employees of various department heads of the district. </span><br />
