Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani said today the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan will be renamed after former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Talking to media in New Delhi, Mrs Irani said the scheme was started by Dr Kalam himself.<br/><br/>Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan focuses on connecting school-based knowledge to life outside the school and making the learning of science and mathematics a joyful and meaningful activity. It also aims at nurturing a spirit of inquiry and creativity and the effective use of technology amongst children.
