The government today said that rapid progress has been made towards achieving complete Aatmanirbharta in the manufacturing of defence equipment. Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said this in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.<br />'' <br />'' He said, country's defence industry is now capable of manufacturing a wide variety of high-end equipments.<br />'' <br />'' This includes tanks, armoured vehicles, Fighter aircrafts, Helicopters, warships, Submarines, Missiles and variety of ammunition. Mr Bhatt said, a total of 595 Industrial Licences have been issued to 366 companies operating in Defence Sector till October this year.<br />'' <br />''The Minister said, government has also established two Defence Industrial Corridors, one each in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu to attract investments in the Aerospace and Defence sector.
