The 2013-14 Ranji Trophy season began today, with Sachin Tendulkar playing domestic cricket for last time as Mumbai take on Haryana at Lahli. The Master Blaster was out after scoring only five runs. The only Ranji Trophy match Sachin Tendulkar played against Haryana was in 1991 at the Wankhede Stadium. Sachin was 18 then. At the end of play on the first day at Lahli, Mumbai was 100 for four at the close, trailing Haryana by 34 runs. Haryana Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda honoured the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar on behalf of Haryana government and people of the state. Mr Hooda also praised him and conveyed his good wishes to him.
