Defending champions Rajasthan, Mumbai,Haryana and Tamilnadu have entered the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy Cricket Championship. At Bangalore, Haryana recorded an emphatic six-wicket win over hosts Karnataka.After restricting Karnataka to 262 in their second innings, the visitors scored the required 142 runs in only 36.2 overs. Meanwhile, Rajasthan sailed through in their quarterfinal match against Hyderabad on the basis of first innings lead. At Indore formidable Mumbai side also entered the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy after gaining a huge 242-run first innings lead against Madhya Pradesh, at the Holkar Stadium.At Channai, Tamil Nadu entered the semifinals after consolidating their position in the first innings of the quarterfinal match against Maharashtra. Replying to Maharastra's 232 all out, Tamil Nadu put on board 415 to take a handsome 183-run lead.In the semifinal Rajasthan will face Haryana while Mumbai will clash with Tamilnadu. The semifinals will be played from January 10.
