Kerala defeated Tripura by an innings and 53 runs at the Ranji Trophy Group A match played at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi .The host team put up a formidable total of 316 in its first innings earlier in the day, with a splendid 77 by all -rounder Sony Cheruvathur and 55 by Sachin Baby.For Tripura, Patel took 5 wickets giving away 75 runs, while Datta and Saha took two wickets each.In the second innings Tripura were bundled out for a mere 124. Kerala bowlers Sony Cheruvathur, Parameshwaran and Prasanth took three wickets each.
