Prime Minister's Economic Advisor C Rangarajan has attributed the spiralling onion prices to supply constraints saying it will have only a temporary impact on inflation.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, he said there is a need to take action on the supply side by increasing its availability. He said once the availability increases, it is expected that supply will get augmented in the coming weeks.
