In Jharkhand, Ranchi High Court has issued a contempt notice to the state electricity board and the state Government for not obeying the court order of 1st May 2008 and 21st December 2009. A bench of the court issued the contempt notice in response to a petition. The court also directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the irregularities in production and distribution of power in the state.
