Self styled Godman Rampal was produced in the Haryana and Punjab High Court before the division bench of Justice M Jaipal and Justice Darshan Singh. The next Hearing will be on November 28, till then he has been sent to judicial custody. Rampal's counsel submitted that he was in capitivity within his Ashram.

The Court has directed DGP Haryana to submit the comprehensive affidavit exhaustively spelling out execution of operation to arrest Rampal by next hearing. The report should have the expenditure details incurred during the operation, nature of resistance put up, casualties suffered and injuries incurred, recovery of arms and ammunition from Ashram and other facts related to the operation.

The Court also directed the Haryana Chief Secretary to find out the properties owned by Rampal. Amicus Curiae Anupam Gupta has been directed by the court to suggest a proper place to carry out the trial for murder case for which Rampal has been booked. He will also suggest measures to check the use of weapons or problems posed by any other religious Institution of Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh. On other hand Rampal's counsel said that Rampal had not used his followers as shield and none of his supporters have filed a complaint against him.
