In Karnataka, the Union Minister of State for Environment Jairam Ramesh today held consultations in Bangalore on BT Brinjal. Farmers, Scientists, Government officials, private company representatives participated in the discussion and aired their views about BT crops. The Minister listened to both pro and against arguments on the BT crops. Later in the day Mr. Ramesh will interact with state Government officials and discuss the stance on BT. The Karnataka Government has already conveyed its opposition to intruduction of BT Brinjal.<br/><br/>
