Ramdas Athawale appeals farmers to call off agitation as farm laws meant for protecting their interest

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale on Saturday appealed to farmers to call off their agitation as the farm laws are meant for protecting their interest. Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad after holding a review meeting, he assured that the government fully sympathises with the concerns of farmers. Mr Athawale expressed hope that their ensuing meeting of farmers with Agriculture Minister may resolve the issue. Further stating that the farmers from other regions than Punjab and Haryana are not active in the agitation, he said, the Farm Laws will protect MSP and farmers' land rights.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister further said the decision over the sub classification of OBC reservation may come out as the proposal for the same is under consideration. Referring to the recent decision of the Central Government about increasing Scholarships, he said, the allocations for the same will be increased by 5 per cent every year.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Athawale requested the Telangana State Government to implement reservations in Promotions of state government employees and urged to allocate 5 acre land to the poor families in the state irrespective of their cast and creed.</span><br />''  <br />
